Adventures at Blue Mountain Village, Blue Mountains, Ontario, Canada

The road to The Blue Mountain Village in Collingwood was quite the scenic drive. I arrive at the village and thought that it looks familiar.
The colourful cottages at the foot of the mountain, reminds me of the village of Mont Tremblant, Quebec.
It was late May, the snow has disappeared, giving way to spring. The village was bustling with families and groups enjoying the joys of nature with outdoor activities and restaurants.

Our day began with the ascent of the mountain. Some of us walked to the top and others, the less sporty 😉 took the open air gondola to reach it. The view from the top was just amazing, we were admiring a work of art. We sat on the red “Muskoka” armchairs and we took advantage of the moment and the nature around us. “Georgian Bay” looked as big as an ocean. The only thing we lacked was a good fine restaurant with a patio and a terrace overlooking this wonderful view, which we heard that they are working on building.

There was so much to do. We took advantage of the good weather. Children have a lot of outdoor activities, such as ropes course through the trees. We tried to do the zip line, but time ran out, it will be the number 1 in the list of activities to do next time!

After all these adventures, we found ourselves in the heart of the village to enjoy a good ice cream from a local shop. Finally, a small jump in the outdoor pool … It’s so refreshing!photo credit:Courtesy or Blue Mountain Resorts

I was impressed by the variety of different restaurants present in the village. There was something for everyone, a quick pizza to gourmet cuisine.
We ate Magnone’s Italian Kitchen. It was made fresh, comforting and very tasty. We all ordered something different, so we could see everything that was offered on the menu. The service was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.

The only thing we missed was a good French patisserie!

Until next time on Chef Adventure!
